In order to comply with the law governing the registration of SIM cards, DITO users are required to register their sim cards using the telco's online portal, through the DITO app. If registration is not completed within the set time frame, the SIM card will be deactivated, meaning that calls, SMS and internet access will be denied. Therefore, it is imperative that current and new users of DITO Telecommunity register their SIMs as soon as possible.
Registration of SIM cards in the Philippines comes with no charge whatsoever. All citizens, local and international, as well as corporations that employ Standard SIM cards and eSIMs purchased in the Philippines for use in cellular phones, mobile broadband routers, and other similar device must comply with the relevant legislation. This guide outlines the procedure for DITO SIM registration, alongside information on the necessary documents, a detailed step-by-step tutorial, and penalties for violations.
